Made possible by generous donations from Entech Staffing Solutions and Graff Family of Dealerships
Pontiac, Mich.- Hope Against Trafficking took possession of two 2020 Chrysler Voyagers to assist in transporting the human trafficking survivors in their two-year residential program. These vans were funded by a generous donation of $45,000 from Entech Staffing Solutions and significant support from the Graff Family of Dealerships.
The vans provide transportation for the women in the program to trauma therapy, art therapy, jobs, college, medical therapy, and other appointments.
As the women in the program work through their individualized programs that focus on helping them work through the impact of the crimes committed against them while trying to heal and achieve their goals, there are dozens of appointments each week requiring transportation.
The women come to the program with nothing but the clothes on their back and they are given a home like they have never before experienced. It is safe, they have their own room and bed and a group of women they can call family.
“As a company owned and operated by women, it is important for us to give back in a way that supports women. Hope Against Trafficking is a miracle working organization that has a direct impact on women in our community. They are saving lives, and inspiring hope for those who need it most,” said Emma Gougeon, Marketing and Community Affairs Coordinator for Entech Staffing Solutions.
“Transportation is one of our largest barriers to supporting the women in our program and one of our largest expenses,” said Executive Director, Lexie Schwarze. “The generous support from Entech Staffing and the Graff Family of Dealerships has answered our prayers and will meet our transportation needs.”
Chris Graff said, “The Graff Family of Dealerships are happy to help Hope Against Trafficking purchase two minivans for their transportation needs. Members of our family have worked on the renovation of the residential homes for Hope Against Trafficking and we have witnessed how this organization works to transform lives. We are pleased to help in our small way to these people doing large work.
Our mission is to create a safe place with restorative programming for survivors of human trafficking to rewrite the stories of their lives while also providing community education.
Hope Against Trafficking follows a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach. This approach allows for individualized plans that offers the victims of human trafficking the opportunity to make informed decisions about the support they need to work through the impact of the crime and help them work toward identifying and achieving their personal goals.
