Daniel Russell’s philosophy on life translates seamlessly to his career. He sees the potential in everyone he meets and knows that each person can make a positive impact. He believes in the importance of offering new ideas and exceeding client expectations. He is responsible for sales, marketing, recruiting and management of the sales team. He also secures new-business opportunities for the organization, and leads the transition of new clients into the company. He also helps to establish affinity business relationships with other business partners.
Before joining DEM Group, he was an Assistant Vice President for Wachovia Bank in the mortgage lending division and an Assistant vice president/branch manager for Wells Fargo, where he was responsible for day-to-day operations; he was also an Assistant Vice President with National City Mortgage, where he handled residential mortgage lending.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous sales awards. He attended Michigan State
University and majored in organizational communications. Dan also played football and ran track while he was a student at Michigan State University. Currently, he is Head Coach of the Cranbrook Kingswood High School Varsity Track Team and is a Coach for Cranbrook Kingswood’s High School Varsity Football and Basketball Teams. He also coaches the Michigan Storm AAUgirl’s basketball team. Dan sits on the Board for the International Visitors Council of Detroit where they host hundreds of visitors a year from around the globe to the Metropolitan Detroit Area. Dan serves on the board for Covenant House of Detroit a homeless shelter for at risk youth in the metropolitan Detroit area. He also serves on the Oakland Next board of directors which is an initiative of Oakland County Executive L.Brooks Patterson aimed at focusing on the next generation of leaders in Oakland County.Finally Dan serves as a Board Member for Winning Futures an award-winning nonprofit that empowers students through life skills and mentoring programs throughout Southeast Michigan.He is also a graduate of the ministry training school at Mt. Zion in Clarkston.
When Dan isn’t working and coaching he enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. They enjoy all types of sports activities and love to travel.
