FREE FLOW FESTIVAL CHARITY CONCERT EVENT CHANGES 2019 VENUE DUE TO HIGH WATER, SAFETY CONCERNS ON BELLE ISLE

Annual Free Flow Festival takes place August 9, 6pm-11pm at St. Andrew’s Hall, Detroit

DETROIT, July 16, 2019 — The third annual Free Flow Festival is moving its 2019 event to St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit amidst safety concerns at the Belle Isle Boat House after the venue notified organizers that it is ceasing operations indefinitely.  A notification from the venue states:

“Due to the unprecedented water levels of the Detroit River, after careful consideration and assessment, we are ceasing all venue rental operations until further notice.  The safety of our guests and vendors are of utmost importance and we have exhausted every means of providing a safe and sustainable event space.  It is with your safety in mind that we’ve made this difficult decision. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and stress this cancellation may cause.”

The date remains as Friday, August 9, 2019. Doors will open one hour later, at 6 pm, and the event is now open to all ages. Due to the change of style for the event, existing ticket holders are being offered an option to return their tickets for a refund.
