An important message from the President and Executive Director of Hope Against Trafficking:
Hope Against Trafficking denounces racism and violence in all its forms. We stand shoulder to shoulder with all those who are speaking out against the blatant injustices happening to our brothers and sisters. However, words are not enough.
Our organization will continue to be an instrument of action and a lightning rod for change. Hope Against Trafficking was birthed out of a singular desire to serve the oppressed. We abhor injustice and we have made it our mission to battle against it.
As freedom fighters, our board of directors, staff and volunteers believe that ALL people are created equal and in God’s image.
Our organization eagerly joins the chorus of millions who have already proclaimed, “enough – it ends with me”. And we assert that until there is freedom for all, there is freedom for none – as in 1 Corinthians 12:26: “If one suffers, every part suffers with it…”
May our humanity bind us together – knowing the same Savior who died for me, died for you.
As our brothers and sisters grieve, we grieve with you. We love you. We are heartbroken alongside you. We seek to listen, and we seek to understand. And we reaffirm our commitment to be a part of lasting change. We will battle alongside you until all are free – black lives do matter. We will not be silent. “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”-MLK
